Beto Is More Searched In Google Ahead Of The Nexstar Governor’s Debate

Less than seven weeks away from the election, data from Google trends show that Beto O’Rourke has been slightly more searched by Texans than Greg Abbott. It is important to remember that the candidates will meet for a televised debate hosted by Nexstar Media Group at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Friday, Sept. 30.

This will be their only face-to-face debate during the campaign ahead of Election Day, Nov. 8.

Before the primary election, in March, Abbott dominated the exposure and the Google searches but that radically changed after the Uvalde shooting and after Abbott cursed at a heckler during a campaign rally in which he was discussing gun control in the wake of the shooting.

What do you think?
