On July 23, 2025, Ascension Leadership Academy (ALA) announced the launch of a 14-day fundraising campaign to support the Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), a nonprofit organization providing critical aid to families affected by the recent catastrophic flooding in Central Texas.
The initiative brings together 21 volunteers from across the United States—participants in ALA’s 25th class—with the goal of raising $77,777 by Sunday, August 3. The funds will support ADRN’s ongoing efforts to provide practical, psychological, and spiritual support to individuals and families impacted by the disaster.
The flooding occurred on July 4, when the Guadalupe River surged 26 feet in under an hour, causing widespread devastation in nearby counties. Over 100 lives were lost, many remain missing, and thousands of families were displaced.
ADRN’s volunteer network responded immediately with emergency relief and continues to support survivors as they begin to recover and rebuild. The funds raised by ATX25 will help sustain ADRN’s services during this critical time.
The volunteers plan to reach their fundraising goal through social media outreach, an event and auction on August 3, and the development of a legacy project to help amplify ADRN’s long-term impact in the community.
“Their support couldn’t have come at a more critical time,” said Alistair Perumal, Senior Director at ADRN. “Together, we’re working to restore hope and build resilience for the journey ahead.”
