Joe Jonas Has A Litter-Free Message for Texans

International superstar Joe Jonas appears in a hilarious new PSA for Don’t Mess With Texas, a Texas Department of Transportation program aimed to reduce littering on city streets.

The collaboration was announced via Twitter on Monday, on the Don’t Mess With Texas official account.

Joe Jonas, former member of the world famous boy band The Jonas Brothers, has a special connection with the Lone Star State, since he lived for a period of his life in Dallas along with his brothers, according to the Dallas Observer.

The new PSA video shows Jonas dressed up in cowboy attire as head of an office floor. He showed an over the top take on how to avoid litter and keep Texas clean.

Joe Jonas will appear in several TV and radio PSAs as part of being the newest celebrity partner for Don’t Mess With Texas. The content will begin to appear across the state at the beginning of June on network and digital platforms.

“Joe understands the pride that we have in our state and in keeping it clean for everyone to enjoy its beauty, now and in the future,” coordinator for the Don’t Mess with Texas campaign Becky Ozuna stated in a news release. “We are thrilled to have Joe join us in bringing attention to our litter-free message through his comedic talent and timing.”

The main objective of this campaign is to resonate with young Texans, coming with a fun and lighthearted approach on a very important topic. They hope it can result in more and more people placing trash in its rightful place.

Other celebrities with connections to Texas that have previously collaborated with the organization include Matthew McConaughey, Eva Longoria, the Randy Rogers Band and George Strait.

Don’t Mess With Texas has been working towards citizen awareness regarding litter prevention since 1986. They continue to do diverse programs to inform people and continue to spread the message to keep the streets clean.
