Cruzin’ for a Social Media Bruisin’

Sen. Ted Cruz has not had a great social media experience of late. After helping incite an insurrection at the Capitol Building early this month, Twitter has not shown the Texas Senator much kindness. Cruz isn’t helping his own case, especially with tweets that are disingenuous, hypocritical, or just unabashedly wrong. Here are some highlights.

After tweeting that rejoining the Paris Agreement means Biden is “more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh”, AOC had a quick response.

Seth Rogen also decided to join in.

But social media criticism is the least of Ted Cruz’s worries, as seven Senate democrats just filed an ethics complaint against him for his role in inciting violence at the Capitol Building on January 6th.

Rich Fitzgerald, Allegheny County’s Chief Executive had the following to say in a video that has since gone viral:

“He is a climate denier, he was a COVID denier…we believe in science around here. And why Senator Cruz thinks he can tell Pittsburgh…we are doing just fine. This is a guy that was really part of the insurrection, part of denial of elections, so I don’t think this guy has any credibility.

“We will run what we need to do here, Senator, and keep your nose out of our business.”

What do you think?
