In 2021, Texas public universities gave more than 100,000 bachelor’s degrees. According to data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, around 18% of those degrees were awarded to students in business, marketing and management programs. These have been the most popular undergraduate programs since 2016.
Other very popular programs in Texas Universities are engineering, biological sciences and interdisciplinary studies. The second most popular field for Texas students is health and health related degrees, nevertheless, this field is very far away from business and marketing. According to the data, undergraduates were nearly twice as likely to earn a bachelor degree in business or marketing than in health-related fields like nursing or healthcare administration.
The least popular degrees are the ones related to biological and biomedical sciences.
