The 2020 Democratic National Convention kicked off this week with a virtual format and speeches from Democrats (and some Republicans) representing a cross-section of America. While the new format took a bit of getting used to, once it started to flow, Day One speakers like Senator Amy Klobuchar, Governor Andrew Cuomo and Senator Bernie Sanders, delivered ringing endorsements of nominee Joe Biden and scathing rebukes of the current president. Former First Lady Michelle Obama, as keynote speaker, spoke eloquently about the need to fight this election like lives depended on it, showing once again that she can inspire us into action.
